COMMENTS:

WINE: M. Chapoutier Petite Ruche

YEAR: 2006

TYPE: Red

GRAPE(S):

REGION: Crozes-Hermitage

PRICE: 29.99

VENDOR: Steve’s

NOTES: Wine Spectator – 90 points! Polished, but not overly so, with a briary tug helping to define the blackberry, crushed plum, graphite and licorice notes. The long finish has a nice mix of fruit and iron. Drink now through 2011.

COMMENTS: This wine tastes as great as it should, given that it was the priciest bottle of our tour.
