S2: Auray to Saint-Brieuc: Etienne Dupont, Cidre Bouché Brut de Normandie 2005

Another cider today, much sweeter and much less interesting and refreshing than yesterday’s. Ratebeer.com doesn’t seem to have any ratings for this year (2005) but the average rating for the Dupont Brut is a 3.64 vs a 3.23 for yesterday’s Bordelet. The beer nerds are probably right, but we don’t really like this one.

So with 60k to do, we’re bored with the race (already) and bored with the cider. On the other hand, it would be fun to see Volkler win a stage (one of us owns a Brioches la Boulangère jersey because of his 10 days in the yellow in 2004), and we do like the idea of drinking cider.

And just look at what’s waiting in the fridge:

…and that’s just the whites and pinks…
